Professor Kaja McGowan led a class of ten undergraduates on an intensive Cambodian experience for a study abroad course over winter break - 'Performing Angkor: Dance, Silk and Stone.' Students investigated the history and contemporary practice of performing and visual arts in Cambodia.  From objects in the cases of the National Museum, to the massive relief of the Churning of the Sea of Milk at Angkor, to the exquisite movements of dancers in the Natyarasa Company, students pursued material and ephemeral trails to think about resonances and ruptures of past in present.
